Compton Unified School District continues to strengthen its college-going culture by providing scholars with meaningful opportunities to explore higher education. This week, 50 Long-Term English Learner (EL) scholars from Compton High School and Dominguez High School, representing grades 9 through 12, visited the California State University, Fullerton campus.

Compton Unified Achieves Historic Gains in State Test Scores

Compton Unified School District (CUSD) has recorded remarkable achievements on the most recent administration of the California Smarter Balanced Assessments (SBAC), surpassing previous benchmarks in English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics. This year’s preliminary results demonstrate a significant 8-point increase in ELA and a 6.4-point increase in Mathematics.
